I fell in love with Sammi’s gorgeous bridal session photographed by the talented Jessica Janae the moment I first saw it on her website couple of months ago. Inspired by the beautiful bride and her gorgeous wedding dress, I decided to start working on this inspiration board, looking to mix feminine ruffled elements with a touch of vintage. I’ve always dreamed of having a wedding reception under an old oak tree with lots of candles hanging from the branches. So fairy-tale like!

I first fell in love with roses when I was a kid and spent the summers tending to my grandmother’s rose garden. Twenty years later I still have a passion for roses and I think their delicate beauty and fragrance can add a touch of classic elegance to any wedding.

You can come up with some truly great ideas for incorporating roses as feminine elements in your wedding theme: from a stunning rose-adorned wedding gown, to a ruffled rose-decorated wedding cake and even in sparking up the gift bags for the wedding guests. How sweet roses are!

Last night I was in need of some sweet, girly, romantic loveliness so I decided to watch { for the 20th+ time} one of my favorite movies, the beloved Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice.

I have a feeling that I’m not the only girl in the world who has watched the movie or read the novel one too many times, so if you’re like me, a fan of sweeping gowns, softly spoken words, enchanting men and perfectly good endings, you are going to love this next wedding inspiration board, channeling all the enchanting atmosphere of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice novel.

Pretty in pink – dreamy & romantic wedding inspiration

Our lovely reader Melany is going to be a bridesmaid at her friend’s wedding this October and she sent me a request last week for an inspiration board with the colors grey, olive green and a dusty off pink. I was so excited because it would seem so much fun to mix and match these colors together.

For me the gray and soft pink combination is both romantic and dreamy and I am picturing a beautiful garden wedding with pink as the main color, accented by grey + green elements and personalized with handmade favors.

Details such as pink lemonade heart straws, a “Love Letter” guest book, table number bottles with faux pearls decorations and name tags for each guest seating are sure to make your event special and personal.

It all started with my first Australian crush, the stylish wedding magazine Wedding Style Guide, which has become my favorite wedding magazine now!

The details, photography and styling in the pages of the magazine are beyond amazing! There are so many creative ideas in there and I love their unique take on weddings.

The magazine is always brim-full of fun new ideas and fresh wedding lovelies like these sweet “I know the groom” + “I know the bride” buttons.

Aren’t they clever? Perfect conversation starters and I bet they are easy to make, too:

You can purchase digital versions of all the issues from their website, but, if you are like me and love to have a hard-copy of the magazine you can try your luck at the local Barnes & Noble stores in the US and Canada, as some of them carry it.

Synchronicity was definitely at work when I stumbled across the blog of couture wedding stylist Kristy Marek, the creative behind Imbue Weddings, an Australian wedding planning and styling company.

Her blog is bursting at the seams with inspirational styling ideas and valuable advice, and you can tell from her selection of images that Imbue Weddings will create a unique and stylish wedding for you to the smallest details.

YELLOW + GREY wedding inspiration

As you probably have noticed dear Juliets, I seem to have a crush on the color YELLOW these days – there’s just something so cheerful about it!

I also like more neutral hues and, since GREY makes the perfect base for any color palette, I decided to create a YELLOW + GREY inspiration board for today. It is a color combination that has become very popular with couples lately and a bride and groom who choose yellow tell me they definitely like to have fun!

Hello sunshine – Yellow Wedding Inspiration Board

When it comes to wedding themes, yellow is not a color that immediately comes to mind. I have to admit that I didn’t consider it for my own wedding either until I came across some gorgeous yellow-infused photos on Pinterest. All of a sudden I was thinking to myself why not?

Yellow can be bright and sunny or deep golden and warm. It’s a really great color that works well in all seasons and brings a fun element to any wedding theme. In spring, a pale yellow brings images of warmth and new growth; a time for new beginnings. A brighter yellow works well in summer when nature is vibrant and in full bloom.

During the fall and winter months, deeper shades of yellow and gold are perfect choices to team up with the deep, darker colors of these seasons.
